A Little About Us

Samantha, Nick, Matelyn and RajahWe are a small breeder of exotic, handfed baby parrots in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The birds we breed are Black Headed Caiques, Green Quaker Parrots,  and Vos Maeri Eclectus. We also, on occasion, take in birds in need of adoption and find them loving homesfeather

Our birds are housed indoors in large cages with plenty of out of cage time and full spectrum lighting when natural sunlight is not available and here in Michigan than can be quite often. Their diet is a healthy diet consisting of fresh mash, birdie bread, sprouts, soaked seed, pellets, and dry seed mix. Our philosophy is that birds kept in this type of environment and fed a variety of healthy foods make for happy, well adjusted birds.  The health and longevity of our babies is our number one priority.

Our babies are first parent raised, then separated at an early, yet appropriate, age.  Babies are then handfed and raised in our home with our family for optimum socialization. They interact with children, men and women and they've also been raised around dogs and other various sized birds. They will come home to you accustomed to the sounds of daily life so they adjust more quickly to your home and family.

Matt and JackOur goal is to breed a small amount of quality, handfed baby parrots for Michigan families and the entire Great Lakes area, instead of large quantities of birds for pet stores. We also take in and attempt to rehabilitate parrots with feather plucking issues or temperament problems.
